Another show-stopping performance is brought by Moulan Bourke’s Paulette Bonafonte, who delighted the audience with her killer vocals and many moments of comedic relief.

It can be quite challenging as an actor to take on any memorable role as a comparison is bound to happen, but Moulan Bourke did an incredible job as Paulette – originally played by Jennifer Coolidge in the 2001 film. Bourke brings a similar tone to the character but adds a distinct quirkiness to the role, and an impressive vocal range that left us blown away after her main musical number! Fantastic job!

Bourke is a hilarious scene-stealer, whether she's bending and snapping or rolling around her salon on a wheeled chair...

As salon owner Paulette Buonofuonte, Moulan Bourke comes close to stealing the show for her nicely timed comic delivery at several moments in the play. Her initial reaction to Kyle B. O'Boyle, the new UPS carrier/driver is priceless.

I have had the opportunity to see Fleetwood Mac many times. When I closed my eyes you were Stevie Nicks. Thank you for making my memories come alive again.

GUEST (NORWEGIAN GETAWAY)

The highlight for me was Moulan Bourke’s Paullette, Elle’s sassy confidante who runs a beauty parlour. Not only is her number, “Ireland,” my favourite in the show, but her kinetic, brassy presence is total Broadway. She’s that character who, no matter how caught up you are in Elle’s plight, makes your giddy heart dance when she’s back on stage.

The biggest surprise for me was just how thoroughly moved I was by Moulan Bourke’s rendition of “Kindergarden Boyfriend.” I was, at first, on guard against lyrics that seemed so cloying, but somehow it got me.
